STA Registration 2025-2026
Registration is a 3-step process:
1. Register students in CTA website: For both returning and new students, please register in the California Tamil Academy website:

2. Fee Payment through Zelle: Use the following questionnaire to calculate fee for the registered students and payment instruction:

You need the Student IDs from CTA registration for the questionnaire, so please have it handy. At the end, the questionnaire will generate memo/message for you to enter when paying through Zelle. Please pay STA using Zelle and enter the generated memo/message without failure.
(Please copy-paste the memo/ message section as displayed in the above questionnaire during Zelle payment. Please do not modify the memo/ message section. Not copying pasting the memo/ message field or paying incorrect amount may incur additional processing fee or delay)
3. Enter your contact information: Please submit parents' contact information so that STA can reach out to you for any questions on registration and during academic year using this URL:

NOTE : We will take care of the level and grade evaluation for the new kids as per the rules set up by California Tamil Academy.
Notes:
1. School tuition fees - $350 per student.
2. Parent's duty no show deposit - $50
(Deposit is applicable only for New STA Families. You pay only once per family. If you are not sure, use the above payment questionnaire)
3. Please do not Zelle any money before reading the below instructions. We shall not be held responsible for any incorrect transfers or any test payments. We may be unable to refund them.
4. Your registration is incomplete until all 3 steps (registration on CTA, fee payment, and contact information update) are complete. We cannot accommodate if you don't complete all the steps.
FAQs
1. My child attended previous year. Do I need to register again?
Yes. Please re-register at https://www.catamilacademy.org/cta/StudentReg.aspx .
2. I just registered. Can you please acknowledge?
You should receive an automated email from CTA/ ITA confirming your registration on CTA. For payment, we will manually verify. Once we verify the payment, you should not see pending payment on CTA. This confirms that your registration and payment is complete.
3. During registration, I only see pay-in-person option. What should I do?
You can leave it selected. Please proceed with the payment using Zelle. Please use the payment questionnaire for the payment instructions. Please copy the memo/ message section as-is in the Zelle payment. It makes it challenging for us to correlate the payment with the student without this information.
4. I registered/ re-registered my child. I just paid through Zelle. Can you please acknowledge the payment?
Please wait 5-7 days. After you login into https://www.catamilacademy.org/.
Click Parent Access -> Child Payment
If you don't see any pending payment, it means we have acknowledged your payment.
5. Its been more than 7 days since I paid. It still shows me a pending payment amount. What should I do?
If you see any pending payment of more than $349, it is possible that you have entered incorrect information in the memo/ message section of Zelle payment. Probably CTA StudentID in the memo/ message section is either missing or invalid.
It may also be possible that you paid incorrect amount. Please contact us.
Note that providing incorrect or incomplete information will incur additional processing fees or may void the registration.
6. I think I overpaid. What should I do?
Please contact us. We will process the refunds before end of the school year (June 2026).
7. I did not register. But paid the fees. What happens?
You registration is incomplete. We have limited capacity and your child may not be able to attend the school. If you need refund, contact us. We will process by end of the school year (June 2026).
8. When do you have the skip grade evaluation test and how do I sign up?
1. Skip test usually conducted around the 3rd week. (Saturday).
2. Registration for skip test is based on the teacher's assessment and parent's input.
3. Parents can work with the teacher for signing up.
9. My child is transferring from another CTA affiliated Tamil school to STA. What is the process?
If you are trying to transfer after the school starts, please contact us and we will guide you.
If you are trying to transfer before the school starts, you can just choose Seattle Tamil Academy school while registering.
10. Is this any discount for sibling(s)?
No.
11. What is parent's duty no show deposit?
It's a refundable deposit. You pay only once per STA family. If you have already paid during the previous year or before, you need not pay again. Each STA family is required to volunteer a minimum of 2 school days in a school year. Families failing to do so will lose $25 from this deposit per instance.
12. Can I get receipt for the payment?
We do not issue official receipts. You can use the Zelle transaction record as the receipt.
13. I still have a question which is not covered here. What should I do?
